Letting go of Perfectionism
We are still struggling with the diaper incidences but the accidents are fewer in between. I think it is the struggle of being a perfectionist. And you forget that there is no perfect condition with a baby. You cannot be a curated pinterest mommy. Wisdom I learnt from a tell it as is is cousin of mine.
Now we wear and discard at will. Let us prosper after all do you fuss over diaper accidents when your baby is fussy and crying?
You don't know why they are crying, you have changed the diaper, fed them milk from your breast and soul, burped them, rocked them while standing; our household does not do sitting down rocking, it's forbidden. So you do all that and the baby's face is red and contorted with cries.
Finally by some miracle they agree to sleep and it's a miracle and you pray and hold hands that they stay asleep. Your ears can't take it anymore, even the cat's ears couldn't take it anymore, she ran away but you have no escape.
So you put your collective heads down only to be woken up by a whimper and another whimper which will soon be a loud yell. You wake up disoriented thinking why can't the baby sleep for more than 5 minutes, only for you to realise that the baby slept for 3 hours.
Yeah! Fist bump! 3 hours sleep.
Oh, the joys of motherhood.
